1) installation instructions: If you have any previous versions of FasterCAD uninstall them in add/remove programs, restart AutoCAD and delete the windows directory C:\fcad. After downloading FasterCAD simply run the FasterCAD .exe file. When prompted to "Select Destination Folder" choose the existing directory where your AutoCAD version resides. (note: the setup.exe program for FasterCAD 1.0 2k4 (AutoCAD 2004+) automatically looks for Program Files\AutoCAD 2004 and FasterCAD 1.0 (AutoCAD 2000-2003) looks for Program Files\AutoCAD 2000. Make sure you point the FasterCAD installation to your particular AutoCAD directory.)

2) post installation instructions for FasterCAD 1.0 2k4 (AutoCAD 2004+) users only: There are a few configurations that need to be made after the FasterCAD installation has completed for most users and they can be done in the following easy steps:

a) Start your CAD program and go to Format > Options > Drawing Template Settings. Set the path for "Drawing Template File Location" to C:\fcad\dwt and "Drawing Template File Name for QNEW" to one of the FCAD templates you prefer.

b) Start your CAD program and go to Format > Options > Printer Support File Path. Set the path for "Plot Style Table Search Path" to C:\fcad\pstl .

3) basic help instructions: FasterCAD contains valuable Help Guides within the program to get you up and running and to explore all the program has to offer. The help guides can be utilized by typing the fh command in the AutoCAD command line.
