The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston, a leading academic health sciences center located on the Texas Gulf Coast, is searching for highly motivated and enthusiastic candidates to join our Human Resources – HR Business Integration department. This senior level position within the HR Business Integration division of Human Resources will provide functional application support for UTMB’s human capital management solution. Primary duties include formulating logical statements of business and management problems, and providing solutions to problems utilizing more efficient operational procedure, workflow, and information technology solutions for human capital activities. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision directly with key stakeholders and to plan/prioritize projects. Intermediate to advanced functional and technical design expertise of PeopleSoft/Oracle HCM (or equivalent ERP application suite) to solve HR business challenges. Duties also include support activities associated with workforce decision-support, reporting and data-quality initiatives and the planning, design, development and implementation of HR technology-enabled solutions.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field and five years directly-related exempt level experience. Functional application experience in an organization utilizing or implementing PeopleSoft /Oracle HCM or an equivalent ERP solution is highly desirable. This individual should have strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to provide alternative functional and technical solutions. Functional experience in HR, Benefits, or Payroll is preferred.

Preferred skills include experience utilizing HCM v8.9 with HCM Application Suite, including Talent Acquisition Management, Benefit Administration, eCompensation /Manager, Manager and Employee Self-service, ePerformance and/or ELM components. User interface design and functional HR portal design/development skills are also desired.
