The successful candidate will have high energy, strong Human Resource talent in Labor Relations and a passion for serving their customers. SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring the appropriate treatment and resolution of people issues.
- Managing relationships with organized work groups, including the lead role in local contract negotiations, overseeing labor agreement activities and ensuring equal employment compliance and working with the Labor Relations Manager and other site human resources.
- Compensation planning
- Professional recruitment support, workforce planning at site level
- Coaches/Counsels on career planning for site employees
- Local UDC processes
- Local recruiting processes for non exempt and hourly workforce
- Diversity reporting and planning
- Training and organizational Development processes.
- Responsible for supporting the effective local delivery of HR service from Outsource providers and the systems and processes that are developed in house from (strategic Core).
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 7+ years of broad Human Resource experience combined with managerial experience supervising salaried and hourly employees.
- At least 5 years of this experience must include HR mgmt responsibilities (eg., staffing, performance management, coaching and mentoring, training, compensation, promotion, investigations) OR 2 years of combined managerial experience supervising salaried employees.
- 5 years Labor Relations experience a must.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Bachelor's degree required in Business Management, Industrial/Labor Relations, or related Human Resource Management.
- 5 years of HR management experience preferred.
- SHRM (or similar professional accreditation) preferred.
