The HR Generalist provides advice, guidance and technical support to assigned departments, primarily in the areas of employee relations and compensation. Duties also include facilitating departmental use of the performance management program, participation in the development of career ladders, conducting job evaluations, analysis of market data to determine internal equity and market competitiveness and guidance on employee discipline issues.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field. A bachelor’s degree and three years related experience is preferred and a PHR is a plus. Additional preferred skills and competencies include: knowledge of HR and employment law, strong written and oral communication skills, presentation and facilitation skills, competent use of personal computer and general office applications, ability to multi-task and prioritize, HR experience in a healthcare of academic setting and PeopleSoft HCM knowledge.
